Joyeaux Halloween!
I thought that on the eve of Halloween I should visit the catacombs today only to find out that they have been closed for an indeterminate amount of time (due to vandals), so sorry I can not show you pictures of bones! Boo!
But I have visited three cemeteries since I arrived. They are quite interesting to visit, the headstones, grave, etc. really show a diversity of expressing the passing of someone. Here are a few of my more favorite burial sights. Enjoy.
The thirty year olds here never went trick or treating in costumes. However, recently you will occasionally see school children dressed up in costume and some are now trick or treating a little. Give them thirty years to get more addicted to sugar and become obese like Americans ....
Word of the Day: Halloween Happy Halloween Joyeaux (OK, that is a no brainer, but how about these?)
Witch: lequel
Pumpkin: Citrouille
Candy Bon Bon (my favorite word Halloween)
Scary: avoir peur
With a special mention to my grandchildren, Matt, Dena and Brooke to tell you to have a great Halloween. Miss you!
